Located on the beautiful secluded cove of Las Estacas Beach, is a luxury all-inclusive resort in Puerto Vallarta. In 2013, the Dreams Puerto Vallarta was rebranded after a multimillion-dollar upgrade and expansion into the Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta.
Almost every one of the 300 rooms and suites has views of the Pacific Ocean. One of the additions to the Main Tower is renovated adult-only rooms on the ground floor. What makes these rooms even more special now are the semi-private steps off the terrace leading into an expansive sanctuary pool. Each guest room offers a luxury, king-sized bed and bathroom, and a sliding door leading out to a terrace with lounge chairs, table, and chairs. Only the guests on this ground floor area can enjoy this private lap pool.
Checking into room 1356 in the Club Tower, there were two double-sized beds and a separate sofa bed and sitting area. The complimentary beverage refrigerator is refilled daily with waters, beers, spirits, soft drinks, and snacks. A coffee machine with a variety of coffee capsules allows leisure mornings lounging in the room or on the balcony enjoying views of the Pacific Ocean and resort. Inside the bathroom’s spacious closet are white robes and slippers. The marble bathroom offers a walk-in shower with two shower heads, including a rainfall shower and luxury bath products. Throughout the hotel is complimentary Wi-Fi and the Club Tower offers an exclusive hotel check in and check out desk, indoor bar, computers with printers, and complimentary hot and cold snacks.
During the day guests may want to join a complimentary morning kayak tour or take a boogie board or paddle board out to explore the cove and ride the waves. There is a new upscale fitness center attached to the Spa. Guests can work out on a variety of cross-training equipment while looking out through a wall of glass windows to the ocean.
Throughout the day, staff members organize fun games outside that include water exercise classes and water volleyball in the main pool. The Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta excursion desk helps guests book sightseeing tours and eco-trips including snorkeling around Los Arcos and zip lining outside the resort.
Those who choose to relax, have the option of swimming in five different pools, including a picturesque infinity adult-only pool with a large whirlpool. There are plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas for shade on the light, golden sand.
At sunset, the pools and oversized hot tubs are full of people sipping margaritas, glasses of wine and Tecate beers before dining at one of the resort’s restaurants. The Bar Tortugas is quieter at the adult-only pool, while the swim-up bar is popular and lively during the late afternoon.
After the sun goes down, there are five resort restaurants open for dinner. Seeking upscale, Jalisco regional cuisine, the authentic Mexican designed Casa Grande offers an a la carte menu. Right off the beach is the open air PureZa restaurant offering a range of South East Asia specialties. Those seeking fresh seafood and steaks will enjoy looking out at waves and listening to its sound at the open BlaZe restaurant. Near the all-day Vivaz buffet offering a plethora of culinary delights for breakfast, lunch and dinner are the Italian Melanzane restaurant making pizza and pasta specials. Also in this area, food carts are rolled out at lunch and chefs grill fresh meat and seafood for tacos and burgers with all the trimmings.
Guests entering the Sports Bar after dinner can learn about tequila and mezcal by certified tequila sommeliers. Also in the lobby is a coffee bar open 24/7 serving a variety of coffees, teas, and pastries.
Throughout the resort, guests will see groups of pelicans fly overhead, iguanas basking in the sun, rays riding the surf and during whale season, might even see a mother humpback whale with her baby surface close to shore.
Hyatt Ziva offers an authentic, luxury Mexican vacation where guests can eat when they want, drink what they desire, be active or just chill and enjoy a siesta.
